Exhibition AmbtArt2016/2017


The exhibition, which has been organized by the Municipality of Amsterdam gives an impression of the various art forms of the creative officials of the Council of Amsterdam. The art forms are photography, fine arts and media. I exhibit with a photograph ‘A boatmen of De Koperen Ploeg at work’. The exhibition AmbtArt2016 is open from 17th of November – 30th of April 2017 during weekdays from 8.30 – 18.00 pm at voormalige Stadstimmertuinen 4-6, Amsterdam.

Pilot cutter ‘Eems no.1’ during Sail In Parade DelfSail 2016.

WL-182- During the Sail Parade in DelfSail the pilot cutter ‘Eems no. 1’ was also present. The pilot cutter Eems No. 1 is a replica of a Dutch pilot cutter of this name from Delfzijl, which sank on March 22, 1874 during a heavy storm north of Schiermonnikoog. The boat has a length of 28 m and a width of 5 m. It is possible to sail with the cutter.

Another photo taken during DelfSail 2009 hanged life-size on a poster in the centre of Delfzijl during DelfSail 2016. The photo also has been used in a press release. The photo is anonymously used without my permission. Again I am not amused.

This photo of a sailor on the Russian tall ship Sedov I took during DelfSail 2009. Now the picture is on the website DelfSail 2016, in a press release and hangs life-size on a poster in Delfzijl. Together with 4 other pictures they are used anonymously and edited without my permission. I am not amused.

Workmen of Ovet Terneuzen on the VB4 to their job.

WL-177-944603One of the jobs of the Verenigde Boatmen in Terneuzen is to transport workmen to their job. On the VB4 the employees of the company Ovet are sailing on the Terneuzen-Ghent Canal from the Massagoed harbour to their job in the Yara harbour.
