Anzali Port no permission for pictures.

MT-95328On the bridge I have made a few pictures of Anzali Port. Then we went by car on our way to Khemes. Just when we had left the port of Anzali we got a call from the communications officer from the office of the Maritime & Port Administration of Guilan Province. He told us we had permission to visit the port. When we arrived at the entrance of the port,  we heard of the communications officer that it was not possible to take some pictures in the harbor. Again we were very disappointed.

There was no one who could help us, so we had to wait. After a while we were taken to an office and we were offered tea and biscuits. The communication officer told us that it was not possible to visit the port and maritime pilots to take some pictures. We were very disappointed. He advised us to go the bridge and take some pictures of Anzali Port.

WL-186-95874

During our holidays I also visited port Anzali in Iran (Bandar e Anzali). The port is situated at the Caspian Sea. As soon as we arrived in Anzali we went to the port. At the entrance we asked if it was possible to visit the harbour and the maritime pilots. Unfortunately it was not possible to visit the harbour. We had to contact the Ports & Maritime Organization (PMO) of Anzali. It is part of the Ministry of Roads & Urban Development. Because it was late in the afternoon we want to contact them next morning.

Great news: my picture has used by Sail Den Helder 2017!

WL-185-95874

I am very proud that the picture has used for the website of Sail Den Helder 2017 and has been published on the website of Maritiem Nieuws. I took the picture during Sail Den Helder 2013 on board of the Spanish sail training ship ‘Juan Sebastian de Elcano’. Nineteen historic foreign Tall Ships were anchored, awaiting the Reversed Fleet Review with King Willem Alexander. Ceremonial greetings were offered by ‘Juan Sebastian de Elcano’, which belongs to the Royal Spanish Navy. With 35 gunshots she has saluting the King of the Netherlands, also on behalf of all the other ships at anchor.

During Sail Den Helder 2017 from 22-25th of June 2017 the barquentine, ‘Juan Sebastian de Elcano’, length 113 m and width 13 m, will be present again. This picture has been published in the book ‘Sail Den Helder 2013′ I have still a few books available. If you are interested you can order the book on my website under Publications.
