I am very proud that the picture has used for the website of Sail Den Helder 2017 and has been published on the website of Maritiem Nieuws. I took the picture during Sail Den Helder 2013 on board of the Spanish sail training ship ‘Juan Sebastian de Elcano’. Nineteen historic foreign Tall Ships were anchored, awaiting the Reversed Fleet Review with King Willem Alexander. Ceremonial greetings were offered by ‘Juan Sebastian de Elcano’, which belongs to the Royal Spanish Navy. With 35 gunshots she has saluting the King of the Netherlands, also on behalf of all the other ships at anchor.
During Sail Den Helder 2017 from 22-25th of June 2017 the barquentine, ‘Juan Sebastian de Elcano’, length 113 m and width 13 m, will be present again. This picture has been published in the book ‘Sail Den Helder 2013’ I have still a few books available. If you are interested you can order the book on my website under Publications.Read More
